The Scripture says that all the character traits and attributes of the Invisible God are clearly seen thru nature and all creation (Romans 1:20)

One of my great joys of life is to grow trees, flowers, vegetable gardens and to even grown caterpillars into butterflies or moths…. I am utterly amazed and become transfixed on these glorious things of nature. I am ever on the hunt for a new reflection of God thru something growing or some other aspect of creation.

Furthermore, in the Gospel of John 1:18 “No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him.” (NASB)

The great Greek scholar, Kenneth Wuest says that the Greek word for “explained” (ἐξηγέομαι) means “to lead out” and then goes on to say “God the Son, through his incarnation, has led the Father out from behind the curtain of His invisibility into full view”.

The joy of reading the words of Jesus, reading of His actions and reading of His compassion gives new meaning “to seeing and hearing in the visible realm what the human eye can not behold.” When Jesus is merciful to the woman caught in adultery we gain a glimpse of the heart of the Father. When Jesus permits the children to gather about Him, we see the Father expressing His great joy and delight in children. It is His desire, now in our moment upon the earth, to be seen in and thru us…for we are to be His representatives. The Apostle Paul states that the Church is “the fulness of Him who fills all in all.”

I am not sure this is how I would typically describe the church, but I believe it is the intent and eventually will be the reality. Then the world will  gaze upon the Invisible God by seeing Him as He is expressed thru the Church…. this is reason enough for us to get up out of the pews and live our faith throughout the week.
